Crooked Dice 7th Voyage, Greek Characters
A nice set of characters to go along with my increasing range of Greek Mythonlogy, 7th Voyage miniatures. All miniatures are by Wargames Foundry and shield designs by Little Big Men Studios.
Here we have. On the left - Atalanta, at the back - Hylas, on the right - Medea and at the front - Phineas.
Next in line is King Aeetes with his guards. I have enough Colchis warriors now to convert a few to bowmen and axemen as well as the normal spear weilding warriors.

Crooked Dice 7th Voyage, Jason and the Argonauts
These are my first batch of miniatures painted up since Salute. Obviously taken by the theme of Salute 2013 and the coinciding release of Crooked Dice's 7th Voyage rule set I got hold of some Wargames Foundry Jason and the Argonauts miniatures.
So here are the first lot in what should be a regular ongoing project, encompassing the rest of the Argonaut tale with Harpys and the Hydra, Perseus and the Medusa, Theseus and the Minotaur and the many voyages of Sinbad.

Tor Gaming - Relics Tournament
I must admit seeing them put a Vaettir Cylod together from scratch and have the thing painted to expert standard in a few hours is awe inspiring!
The tournament consisted of 3 games, each with a different scenario. Game 1 would be a Kill them All. Game 2 would be Control the Centre and Game 3 would be Control Points. Games 2 and 3 also had extra objectives which coould net you more points if they were matched. These consisted of things like the first Commander Kill or the first enemy unit to be Shaken.
Forces taking part;
3 x Britanan
2 x Orcnar
2 x Nuem
1 x Vaettir
Game 1 vs Jamie (Britanan vs Britanan)
The first few turns went by with nothing more than movement and positioning, but then the leadstorm began! unfortunately for Jamie, the hailstorm all landed on him and by the end of the game I had destroyed his whole army leaving him with about 4 models. I had only lost a couple of Highlander, a Dragoon and a Trooper!
Total Victory to me.
Game 2 vs Ridmasta (Britanan vs Nuem)
Control the Centre game and the extra objective was the first Commander Kill. I was up against Ridmasta's Iron Nuem Warriors of Doom and these pain loving Sado Dwarves were rock solid! after starting reasonably well and wiping out his screening Penatentium unit, the Nuem stormed into my poor Puppets and masacred them. With a Wall of Dedicartus and Tormenta's obscurred by the Specialis Pueri Black winds I just couldnt cause enough damage and they systematically destroyed me unit by unit.
Total Defeat.
Game 3 vs Christine (Britanan vs Nuem)
Great! another game against Nuem. I had received such a beating from Ridmasta's Nuem that I was resigned to another beating as Christines army practically echoed Rid's although she had a unit of Concursus and less Sagitarrius.
However this game was not just Control the Centre but Control Points (4 to be exact) and we each placed 2 objective markers. I was hoping this would mean the Nuem would have to loosen their formations a bit and therefore allow me to maybe cause more damage.
From the beginning of the game I was right. Christine got a few units bogged down trying to cross some difficult terrain and my Ranged Units started picking of hers left right and centre. best moment of the game was my CSM showing the boys how its done by slightly moving to the flank of his Trooper Unit and loosing a Pistol shot at a lone Specialis Pueri lurking near a Control Point and taking its last wound. Boss leading from the front.
By the end of the game I was control the majority of the Objectives, had achieved the secondary objective of making an enemy unit Shaken first and decimated Christine's whole army.
Total Victory to me.
So I ended the day Won 2, Lost 1. It was all down to the other games and points to see where we were all placed.
Rob and Gav who had organised the Tournament finally announced the winners and Ridmasta had won 1st place with 3 straight wins. I came 2nd and embarrasinging I cant remember the guys name came 3rd with his Orcnar.
Christine won both painting awards for Best army and best unit.
Overall a cracking day out, really nice people and 3 really great games against very enjoyable opponents.

Star Wars X-Wing Wave 3
Oh yes, the next wave of single starship expansions for X-Wing!
The HWK-290, Lambda-class Shuttle, B-Wing and TIE Bomber. Each of these expansions comes with a detailed miniature starship, accurately rendered at the same 1/270 scale as the game’s other ships, and will no doubt include multiple ship cards, upgrades, maneuver dial, and all the necessary tokens as pervious ships.
The HWK-290 comes with four ship cards for a Rebel Operative and three unique pilots, including the renowned Kyle Katarn, who can assign his focus tokens to friendly ships. Additionally, each HWK-290 can be outfitted with a turret weapon and a crew member, and the expansion provides you with six upgrade options, including the unique Moldy Crow (Expanded Universe) title card, representing Kyle Katarn’s signature starship.
Imperial fleets gain the support of the new Lambda-class Shuttle. This starship expansion includes four ship cards, featuring three unique pilots. For example, Captain Kagi can divert enemy target locks from your other ships and force your opponent to fire against his shuttle and its five shields.
Also new to this wave of expansions is a new type of upgrade, the system upgrade. System upgrades appear with both the Lambda-class Shuttle and B-Wing, and they give players more control over the game by reducing the potential risks. For example, when your ship is defending against an attack, the Sensor Jammer allows you to convert one of your opponent’s results.
The B-Wing allows you to equip any of its four ship cards with an impressive array of upgrades. Each B-wing can be outfitted with a system upgrade, a cannon, and up to two torpedoes, including the hard-hitting Advanced Proton Torpedoes. With its five shields and ability to barrel roll, the B-wing is built to get up close and personal in even the thickest of combats.
Last but by no way least the TIE bomber is capable of delivering a massive payload. Not as agile or fast as other TIE variants, TIE bombers can carry enough firepower to destroy virtually any enemy target. Each TIE bomber is capable of carrying two torpedoes, two missiles, and one bomb.
