Now that I have finished my Gladiator project (for now) I have moved on to my Bolt Action force. Initially I was going to do a 1000pt German Fallschirmjager Platoon with added Stug G but these have taken a back seat to my whimsical attentions.My new shiny butterfly moment has included the last week which saw the building, gluing and basing of a large Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) force. I also have enough plastic left over to do a full 3 sections plus command for a Imperial Japanese Naval (IJN) platoon as well, but that will wait a bit.

Glad to see another person succumb to Shinyitis. I must say if I was doing 28mm WW2 this force would appeal to me. Or maybe the British 14th (Forgotten) Army.
ReplyDeleteOn your Ho-Ni III there is a head popping out of a maintenance hatch that houses the differential. :p I'm affraid It would be very very cramped in there. .The driver would be located behind the slit you see behind his head. Just wanted to point that out. I have the same model, shame they didn't go for the Ho-Ni II instead.

DeleteYeah those maintenance hatches are deceptive little buggers aren't they. I think one of the Warlord photos has the same problem. Nice Japanese force there - now slap some paint on them! Want to have some real fun? Find and field all the itty bitty, and I mean SMALL Japanese tankettes. They look like lawnmowers! I call them my Doom Buggies. They can take cover behind a fire hydrant. Wonderful.
